Ibope/RJ: Pezão has 29% and Garotinho 26%

Rio 247 - An Ibope poll on the succession for the Guanabara Palace showed the current governor, Luiz Fernando Pezão, of the PMDB party, with 29% of voting intentions, against 26% for former governor and congressman Anthony Garotinho (PR-RJ). This is a technical tie, since the margin of error is two points.

In the current scenario, the two would face each other in the second round, since they are the most competitive candidates. Marcelo Crivella, from the PRB party, has 17%, followed by Lindberg Farias, from the PT party, with 8%.

In the previous survey, conducted between September 5th and 8th, Garotinho had 26%, Pezão 25%, and Crivella 17%.

In the simulated second round, Pezão surpasses Garotinho by 43% to 33%. 

The survey is registered with the Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro under registration number RJ-00044/2014 and with the Superior Electoral Court under protocol number BR-00749/2014.
