Paulo Henrique Dehon Teles Rocha, 31, has severe schizophrenia and had been missing since 2019. He was found in Piedade and taken back to Barbacena, where his family lives. The action took place this Thursday (20).
According to information from the Piedade City Hall, since last Friday (14), the man had been walking aimlessly through the streets of the city. The GCM approached him and the agents discovered his name. With that, the team posted a photo on social media.
Earlier this week, the missing person's brother contacted the City Hall by phone. Last Wednesday (19), after an approach made by CREAS, it was possible to make contact between Paulo Henrique and his family.
According to the city hall, the brother reported that the missing man suffered trauma in childhood after his mother fell from a 15-meter bridge during construction on the BR-040 highway, and he witnessed everything.
From then on, mental health problems began to appear. Since 2017, Paulo Henrique's condition worsened, and he was eventually hospitalized. In 2019, the young man escaped from the clinic where he was receiving treatment and has not been seen since.
On the afternoon of this Thursday (20), the man was sent to his hometown accompanied by the GCM of Piedade, a social worker and a health professional.
