Brazil Agency - The first day of the pilots' strike resulted in 113 delayed flights and 19 canceled flights at São Paulo's main airports.

The group staged a two-hour work stoppage early in the morning to demand better working conditions and salary adjustments.

According to the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (Infraero), which manages Congonhas Airport, as of 18 pm, 82 flight delays and 19 cancellations had been recorded at the airport, located in the southern region of the city of São Paulo.

GRU Airport, the concessionaire that manages São Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos, reported that, due to the strike by pilots on Monday morning (19), 21 flights operated with delays and none were cancelled.

The concessionaire advises passengers to contact their airlines to find out the status of their flights. GRU Airport also reported that the airport is operating normally in the early evening.

The Agência Brasil news agency attempted to contact Viracopos International Airport in Campinas (SP), but has not yet received a response.
