To make matters worse, the state government admitted this Tuesday (24) that it had not deposited the benefits.
According to the executive, the delay in pension payments was a consequence of a failure in the Rioprevidência system, as reported by G1. But even before that, many people were already complaining that the money was not in their accounts.
Also on Tuesday, the government reported that the problem had been corrected and that the benefits had been deposited. If any pensioner has not received their payment, they are advised to contact Rioprevidência's customer service.
Regarding the 13th-month salary for 2016, the state government has no plans to make the payment.
