The incidence rate of dengue fever in the state is 264,3 cases per 100 inhabitants, approaching the level considered epidemic, which occurs when it exceeds 300 cases per 100 inhabitants.
With the decree, the state will be able to expedite the implementation of measures and allocate more resources to combating the disease, including federal support.
Since the beginning of the year, São Paulo has recorded 117.502 confirmed cases of dengue fever and 104 deaths due to the disease. In addition, another 226 deaths are under investigation to determine the cause.
