São Paulo state government rules out link between vaccine and cardiac arrest in girl.
A committee of experts reviewed the patient's medical records and ruled out any link between vaccination and cardiac arrest.
Metropolises - The cardiac arrest in a 10-year-old girl, which prompted the suspension of vaccination in the city of Lençóis Paulista (SP), had no relation whatsoever to the administration of the Pfizer vaccine.
The Epidemiological Surveillance Center of the State Health Department concluded this Thursday (20) the investigation “which ruled out the adverse event after vaccination in the 10-year-old child from the municipality of Lençóis Paulista”. And highlighted: “There is no causal relationship between the vaccination and the clinical picture presented”.
In a statement, the government reported that "the analysis carried out by more than 10 specialists indicated that the child had a rare congenital disease, previously unknown to the family, which triggered the clinical picture."
