Rio 247 - Journalist Elio Gaspari reported this Sunday, in his column in the newspaper O Globo, on the account based in Panama in the name of the father of Mayor Eduardo Paes, Valmar Souza Paes. The accusation was made by 247 this week.

According to Gaspari, Valmar Paes likes to tempt fate. In June, during the popular demonstrations, he declared that situations like those did not happen when the military was in charge of the country.

TALKING TOO MUCH

Lawyer Valmar Souza Paes is a veteran and successful professional in Rio de Janeiro who gave his son, Mayor Eduardo Paes, a top-quality education. He may have been unlucky when he purchased the registration of a company created in the name of a poor Panamanian, which had been associated with another company, for a shareholder of the Hotel Saint Peter, the current patron of Commissioner José Dirceu.

Even so, he likes to challenge her. During the June protests, a passenger in the elevator of the building where his office is located swore he heard him say that situations like those didn't happen when the military was in power.

When the military was in power, the mayor of Rio was appointed.
