Garotinho is planning a return to politics as a congressman and will receive Bolsonaro in Rio.

In order to be eligible to run for office, the former governor needs to pay a fine of R$ 312 in a defamation lawsuit against federal judge Marcelo Leonardo Tavares.

Forum Magazine - Former Rio de Janeiro governor Anthony Garotinho (independent) is orchestrating his return to political life as a federal deputy for União Brasil, a party that is expected to be created through the merger of DEM and PSL.

The former governor and two of his children, federal deputy Clarissa Garotinho (PROS-RJ) and the mayor of Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ), Wladimir Garotinho, will receive President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) next Monday (31), who will have an agenda in the North of Rio de Janeiro.

The Garotinho family is awaiting the formalization of União Brasil to join the party, while they finalize the terms of their candidacies with the current president of the PSL in the state, the mayor of Belford Roxo, Waguinho.
