247 - Dismissed from office by the Rio de Janeiro City Council on August 18th, accused of moral and sexual harassment by former employees, Gabriel Monteiro has withdrawn his candidacy. He submitted his resignation from the candidacy for federal deputy to the Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro this Saturday, the 10th.
At the end of August, the TRE plenary recognized the ineligibility of the former PM, YouTuber and former councilman, who also faces charges of rape of a vulnerable person, filming sexual relations with a minor and forging videos on his YouTube channel.
In the document submitted to the TRE-RJ, Gabriel Monteiro alleges “personal reasons” for withdrawing his candidacy for a seat in the Chamber of Deputies.
