Fluminense launches blood donation campaign.
The tricolor team wants to raise awareness among the population about the importance of regular blood donation and the daily need to replenish blood banks.
Rio Agency - This Monday (9) the Hemorio mobile collection team will be at Fluminense headquarters, in Laranjeiras, in the South Zone of Rio, from 8 am to 13 pm, for the launch of the campaign Tricolor de coração doa o sangue pelo time. The aim of the football club's action is to raise awareness among the population about the importance of regular donation and the daily need to supply blood banks.
On the eve of the Libertadores match against Boca Juniors, the Tricolor directors expect a large turnout of donors participating in the solidarity campaign, as do players Deco and Fred, who recorded a video inviting all fans to participate.
Simultaneously, the Hemorio headquarters will reserve a special space for fans wearing Fluminense jerseys on April 9th and 10th. Campaign caps will be distributed to all donors at Laranjeiras and to the first 500 at Hemorio. The initiative is a motivation for the Fluminense fans, with the positive involvement of the group of athletes and coaching staff and, above all, a great act of solidarity.
To be eligible to donate blood, you must bring an official photo ID (original), be in good health, be between 16 and 67 years old, and weigh more than 50 kilograms. Hemorio is the coordinating blood center for the State of Rio de Janeiro, part of the Health Secretariat, which supplies blood and blood products to approximately 180 health units throughout Rio de Janeiro, including emergency hospitals, maternity wards, and ICUs.
