Son says he's more palatable than Bolsonaro: "There are gay people on my team."
Flávio Bolsonaro, a state deputy and son of federal deputy Jair Bolsonaro, who is running for mayor of Rio de Janeiro, is trying to distance himself from his father's radical ideas; "I have a slightly different worldview. It doesn't change much. I have gay people on my team, in my Assembly staff, and in the campaign. I take competence into consideration. Whether someone is homosexual, polysexual, or something else, it doesn't matter to me," he says.

"The essence is the same, the difference is the way of communicating the ideas. Jair, having started alone, out of necessity and even due to censorship, needed a more forceful approach. I have my style, but I don't want this label of 'Bolsonaro light'," he says in an interview with Valor.
