247 - The state of São Paulo registered a new record of deaths from coronavirus, with 434 deaths in 24 hours. There are now 13.068 deaths caused by the disease among the people of São Paulo. The previous record was last Wednesday (17), with 389 deaths in one day.
According to the federal government website that provides updates on Covid-19 statistics, the state has at least 221,9 confirmed cases.
In a press conference, the executive coordinator of the Contingency Center, João Gabbardo, stated that the state could still increase the occupancy level in hospitals.
"It's important to highlight that this hasn't put pressure on ICU beds; we continue to have between 65% and 66% of beds in use, which means we have between 33% and 34% of beds available for the population," he said.
