247 - A survey by Ipec commissioned by Rede Gazeta and released this Saturday (29) indicates a technical tie within the margin of error, of three percentage points, between candidate Renato Casagrande (PSB) with 53%, and the candidate from Jair Bolsonaro's PL, Manato, with 47%.
Valid votes exclude blank votes, null votes, and voters who declare themselves undecided from the sample. The procedure is the same one used by the Electoral Court to announce the official election results.
In total votes, Casagrande has 50% and Manato, 44%. In the spontaneous survey, when the candidates' names are not presented, those who cannot spontaneously name who they would vote for represent 10%.
Among voters in Espírito Santo, 90% say their voting decision is final, and 10% say they may still change their candidate before election day.
In spontaneous polls, where candidates' names are not presented, 10% of those who cannot spontaneously name their preferred candidate. Those intending to cast blank or null votes total 5%. This proportion of voters could lead to last-minute shifts in voting patterns.
The survey interviewed 800 people between October 27th and 29th in 29 municipalities in Espírito Santo. The margin of error is three percentage points, plus or minus, considering a 95% confidence level. The survey was registered with the Regional Electoral Court (TRE) under number ES-02718/2022 and with the Superior Electoral Court under number BR-07761/2022.
