In a debate with Tarcísio, Haddad promises to keep police cameras and invest in public safety (videos).

On Band TV, the candidate for governor of São Paulo promised to "value the careers of public security officers." He also spoke about topics such as agribusiness and education.

247 - Candidate for governor of the state of São Paulo Fernando Haddad (PT) promised this Monday (10), in a debate with Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) on Band, that he will keep cameras on police uniforms to reduce crime. 

"Body cameras for police officers have reduced police lethality by 80%. I will maintain this policy and value the careers of public safety officers," stated the former mayor of São Paulo.

"The people want to eat, study, and work, and we want to focus on what matters to the citizens of São Paulo. That's how the governor of São Paulo should act: our state comes first," the candidate stated. 

The Workers' Party candidate came in second place, with 35,70% of the votes in the first round, compared to 42,32% for Tarcísio, who came in first. 

Jair Bolsonaro (PL) obtained 47,71% (12.239.989 votes) in the first round among voters in the state of São Paulo. Presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) received 40,89% (10.490.032 votes).

According to Ipec figures, released this Monday (30), the former president continues to lead The dispute is taking place within the national territory. In the first round, the former president garnered 48% of the valid votes (57,2 million) in the first round of the election, compared to 43% (51 million) for Bolsonaro.

The second round of the presidential election and the runoff elections in states where the contests were not decided in the first round will take place on October 30th.
