Originally, says the journalist, the decree issued by Doria mandated quarantine in all 645 municipalities of São Paulo between March 24 and April 7. It would therefore end tomorrow.
A meeting led by Doria starting at 8 am today will seal the new quarantine and detail the actions for the period in which the escalation of cases will be inevitable, adds Jardim.
The Ministry of Defense itself, on Saturday, classified the new phase that São Paulo and four other states will go through as "uncontrolled acceleration."
