Dilma may bring Cabral to the Ministry.

The president may invite a member of the PMDB party to join a cabinet starting next year to seal peace between the PT and PMDB parties; the quid pro quo would be for Vice President Michel Temer's party to soften its criticism of PT Senator Lindbergh Farias, who will be running for governor of Rio against the current vice-governor, Luiz Fernando Pezão.

247 – Demoralized by the series of street protests in Rio de Janeiro, Governor Sérgio Cabral saw his plans to succeed Michel Temer in the second highest office in Brazil fall apart.

To save his political career and also seal the peace between the PT and PMDB parties, President Dilma Rousseff has been sounding out the PMDB member about joining a ministry starting next year. This information comes from Globo. Earlier this year, the PMDB member even requested the Ministry of Mines and Energy, which was denied.

Cabral has already announced that he will leave his post early to give more visibility to his vice-governor, Luiz Fernando Pezão, who was running against the Workers' Party senator Lindbergh Farias. Dilma supports the dual campaign, but asks that Cabral control the criticism from the state president of the PMDB, Jorge Picciani, and federal deputy Eduardo Cunha, from the same party.
