Building collapse leaves one dead in Rocinha, in the southern zone of Rio.

Agência Brasil/EBC - The collapse of a three-story building in the Rocinha favela, in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro, left one person dead, according to the Rio de Janeiro State Fire Department. The victim is a man whose identity has not been released by the department.
Rescue teams were called around 8:25 am to go to the site of the collapse, on Travessa da Luz, in a part of Rocinha known as Descida do Largo do Boideiro.
The information throughout the morning was that someone was missing, which was confirmed around 14:20 PM when the man was found dead under the rubble.
Firefighters from the Gávea and Humaitá fire stations participated in the operation, in addition to the Forest and Environmental Rescue Group, which includes sniffer dogs, and the Search and Rescue Group from Barra da Tijuca.
There are no reports of other possible people buried under the rubble, and the military remains on site carrying out prevention work and debris removal.
