Damous argues for the annulment of the impeachment and calls for general elections.

"For much less, President Dilma Rousseff was deposed from the presidency of the Republic for an alleged crime of responsibility that she never committed," says the congressman in a video, commenting on the most recent corruption allegations against the Temer government, in which the president's friend and former advisor, José Yunes, said he received R$ 4 million in his office that belonged to Eliseu Padilha.

Rio 247 – In a video posted on his Facebook page, Congressman Wadih Damous (PT-RJ) argued that the Supreme Federal Court should analyze the request to annul the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff.

"The Supreme Court should now immediately consider the request to annul the impeachment of President Dilma. That's what the Supreme Court had to do, even to recover its reputation," he said, also advocating for general elections in the country.

"The entire core of the Temer government is compromised by accusations. They haven't turned into investigations yet because the speed or slowness of the Attorney General's Office varies depending on the individuals involved. For example, there are several mentions of Aécio Neves, José Serra, and Geraldo Alckmin, all with parliamentary immunity. Nothing, absolutely nothing," he criticizes.

Damous also questions where the "panelaços" (banging pots and pans) are, since they are not protesting against the corruption accusations against the current government, and denounces a "complete deterioration of power relations, of political relations since the coup" in the country.
