Rio 247 – Mayoral candidate Marcelo Crivella, from the "For a More Humane Rio" coalition, is betting on the Lava Jato corruption scandal to label the PMDB party as the most corrupt in the country.

The PRB candidate said that, instead of allowing the federal government to fund the Olympic project, Mayor Eduardo Paes preferred to compromise the municipality's finances because he wanted to pose as the owner of the event for electoral purposes.
