247 - Federal deputy Rogério Correia (PT-MG) published a message this Sunday (28) to highlight the importance of Lula's government's investments in the area of Education. The parliamentarian made a comparison with Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) administration.

"Lula participates in the MEC march, valuing education and its teachers and other workers. In other times, these were death rallies, amidst the pain of the pandemic," Correia wrote on the social network X.

According to figures released by the federal government in April, in the first two years of Lula's administration, the Ministry of Education (MEC) achieved significant results. Among them, the Pé-de-Meia program stands out, benefiting 4 million high school students in public schools.

Another initiative launched was the Full-Time School Program, which created over 1 million full-time enrollments, equivalent to 33 classrooms, with another 2 million planned for the coming years; and actions to enhance higher education, such as the creation of 10 new federal university campuses, 400 construction projects at universities and university hospitals through the New PAC (Growth Acceleration Program), and 102 new federal institutes.

After 10 years, the Ministry of Education (MEC) has readjusted scholarships to support undergraduate and graduate students and plans to universalize scholarships for indigenous and quilombola students to remain in undergraduate programs.
