247 - Thieves stole 5 surgical masks from the Betim Regional Public Hospital, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte. According to G1, alcohol and soap are being taken frequently, but the city hall stated that the supply of these two items is normal. The theft occurred on Tuesday (17).
According to the hospital's management, even with the theft, "the masks and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) available in the storeroom are sufficient for staff to safely meet the demands related to the coronavirus that arrive at the unit."
The Betim City Hall reported that it provided security camera footage from the hospital for the investigation and that "appropriate measures are being taken with the municipal security agencies," including regarding the disappearance of alcohol and soap.
