Cláudio Castro se afasta de Bolsonaro e sinaliza alinhamento com Lula

247 - Increasingly distant from Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), is expected to meet with president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the first week of December. According to the newspaper The GlobeCastro reportedly spoke with Lula by phone last week, and the governor allegedly said that he "intends to walk in alignment with the Workers' Party, despite being from the same party as Bolsonaro."

"Economic issues such as ICMS revenues were quickly discussed, and Castro recalled that among his main allies are André Ceciliano, a member of the Workers' Party (PT) chosen by Lula for the government transition; the mayor of Belford Roxo, Wagner dos Santos (União), known as Waguinho, who campaigned for the PT candidate in the Baixada Fluminense region; and his chief of staff, Rodrigo Abel, who has roots in the PT," the report emphasizes. 

Também na semana passada, o governador - que está de férias nos Estados Unidos - fez uma chamada de vídeo para integrantes da bancada bolsonarista fluminense para criticar a interferência do senador Flávio Bolsonaro no processo de escolha do novo diretor-superintendente do Sebrae, definida por ele como um “papelão do chefe de vocês”.  

"Flávio and the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, allegedly interfered to ensure that Antônio Alvarenga Neto was re-elected to the position, breaking an agreement brokered by Castro before the trip, according to which the chosen candidate for the post would be federal deputy Vinícius Farah (União)," says the newspaper. 

A aproximação de Castro com o PT tem causado preocupação junto ao PL pelo temor de que ele acabe se filiando a uma outra legenda. "Nos bastidores do partido, o governador do Rio é visto como uma figura central e interlocutores do presidente da legenda, Valdemar da Costa Neto, já trabalham para apaziguar o mal-estar”, diz a reportagem.
