The Teresópolis city hall has set up a donation collection point at the Pedrão sports gymnasium in the city center. 500 mattresses, 400 blankets, and 300 sheets have already been delivered to families affected by last week's storm. The city hall is requesting donations of sleeping mats, bedding, cleaning and personal hygiene supplies, salt, sugar, pasta, biscuits, and vegetables to assemble more aid kits. The government is also registering volunteers to help assemble basic food baskets.

The Municipal Education Department reported that ten municipal schools were flooded by the storm and that two are housing families affected by the heavy rain. Parents and relatives should contact the department to find out which schools will be receiving students this week.
