CCR takes full control of Rio's light rail system.

Prior to the acquisition, CCR already owned 95,17% of the business, while Invepar held 4,727%.

247 - CCR has completed the purchase of Invepar's remaining stake in the VLT Carioca concessionaire, assuming full control of the share capital of the company responsible for the Light Rail Vehicle in downtown Rio de Janeiro. The announcement was made this Monday (31), in a statement to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).

Prior to the acquisition, CCR already held 95,17% of the business, while Invepar owned 4,727%. Small stakes also belonged to Benito Roggio Transporte (0,091%) and RATP Brasil (0,008%). With the purchase, the company consolidates its presence in the city's urban mobility sector.

In operation since 2016, the VLT Carioca has a network of 28 kilometers of tracks, 30 stations and 32 trains in circulation. The system connects to the recently inaugurated Gentileza Intermodal Terminal.

The electric and silent service has already completed more than 1,3 million trips, transporting approximately 120 million passengers since its inauguration. Currently, the single fare is R$ 4,30.
