The action, coordinated by the Finance and Planning Secretariat (Sefaz-SP), with the support of the Civil Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office, investigates alleged tax irregularities involving companies in the Jundiaí region.

According to the report, the operations carried out this morning included the execution of search and seizure warrants at Cantu Pneus offices, as well as visits to suppliers and business partners. Preliminary estimates suggest the scheme may have caused millions in losses to public funds.
In a statement, the company asserted that the information is incorrect and that it does not have any shell companies. "There was no request for a 'search and seizure' at Cantu's offices. A routine inspection took place, requested through a service order from the Sefaz (São Paulo State Finance and Planning Secretariat), requesting access to certain documents. Cantu provided all the requested materials and reports. Nothing beyond that," the statement declared.
