The proposal by Bruno Covas and João Doria to bring forward holidays in the city of São Paulo aims to increase the rate of social isolation and was approved this Monday by the City Council.
247 - The São Paulo City Council approved this Monday (18) the proposal by the city's mayor, Bruno Covas, and the governor of São Paulo, João Doria., to bring forward holidays with the aim of increasing levels of social isolation on weekdays.
The proposal consists of bringing forward the celebrations of Corpus Christi and Black Awareness Day. The long weekend will take place from this Wednesday (20) and will last five days.
If the State Legislative Assembly deputies approve the advancement of the July 9th holiday to Monday (25), the holiday could be even longer.
