247 - A 37-year-old businessman, registered as a Collector, Sports Shooter and Hunter (CAC), had 11 firearms stolen from his residence in Penha, east of São Paulo, on Thursday night (15). According to the report, the CAC, who said he was a sales supervisor at a shooting range in São Caetano do Sul, stated that he was overpowered by four men as he pulled his car, a Mercedes Benz A 200, out of the garage. He further stated that the criminals noticed a rifle inside a carrying case in the vehicle and forced him to reveal that he possessed more weapons at home.
Next, the criminals tied him up and put him inside his own vehicle. The thieves reportedly drove around the city for about an hour before leaving the car on a street in Guaianases, also in the eastern part of São Paulo.
According to the report, "the man was found because his girlfriend, upon arriving home, saw the door open and contacted the Military Police, who reviewed security camera footage from the area, which captured the criminals' actions, and the vehicle had a tracking device."
The case is being investigated by the 31st Police Precinct (Vila Carrão).
