BOPE enters into conflict with drug traffickers in Caju.

Police officers from the Special Operations Battalion (BOPE) are carrying out the second day of operations this Saturday in Parque Alegria, in Caju, a group of favelas in the northern zone of Rio.

During the operation, there was a brief confrontation, according to the Military Police. A 21-year-old man was arrested, and a rifle, a pistol, a grenade, and ammunition were seized. In addition, marijuana and cocaine were found. Yesterday, four men had already been arrested.

During the operation, police also recovered a black C3 vehicle. The incident was registered at the 6th Police Station, where the vehicle's owner recognized it and recovered a hearing aid worth R$ 30 from inside.
