Behind the scenes of Roberto Jefferson's arrest: the police chief warned the minister that his involvement would "make things worse."

"It will strengthen him politically," said a delegate regarding the visit of Minister Anderson Torres (Justice) to the former congressman's house in Rio.

247 - A Federal Police (PF) delegate in the state of Rio de Janeiro told the Minister of Justice, Anderson Torres, that if the member of Jair Bolsonaro's government were to go to the home of former federal deputy Roberto Jefferson (PTB-RJ) in Comendador Levy Gasparian (RJ), it would not be good for resolving the conflict between the PTB member and the police. "Honestly, Minister, it will worsen the situation. It won't change the scenario and will only strengthen him politically," the delegate stated.

The PTB member tried to resist arrest. “I will only surrender when the minister arrives,” said the former parliamentarian, according to information published this Thursday (27) by Magazine Piauí"I'll only leave here dead," Jefferson added.

The former deputy was arrested last Sunday (23) by order of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes and exchanged gunfire when he realized that the police were at his house to carry out the Supreme Court's order. The PTB member received an arrest warrant after calling Supreme Court Justice Cármen Lúcia a "broken prostitute" last week.
