247 - A small plane crashed in a sugarcane field in the city of Quadra, in the interior of São Paulo, on Saturday morning (15), resulting in the death of two people. The information was confirmed by the São Paulo Civil Defense to the portal Metropolis, which also determined that the aircraft would perform a flyover of the region before returning to the Aeroquadra Flying Club, from where it had taken off.

Firefighters and Civil Defense teams are on site to identify the aircraft's registration number. The plane was completely destroyed by the impact and the subsequent fire. According to authorities, the high degree of carbonization of the fuselage has made identifying the aircraft difficult. The Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) has also been called in to investigate the causes of the accident.

Victims and accounts - Two charred bodies were found among the wreckage of the plane. According to the Fire Department, they are a couple, whose identities have not yet been released.

A witness who lives near the flying club reported that the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff. "I heard the sound of the plane taking off and then the sound of the crash," said the resident, who preferred not to be identified. She reported that, immediately after the collision, a dense cloud of black smoke spread across the area.

Images taken at the scene show flames consuming the wreckage of the aircraft amidst the vegetation.
