247 - The murder of the young Congolese man Moise Mugenyi Kabagambe, 24, beaten to death for about 15 minutes at a kiosk in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on Monday (24), has caused a wave of outrage on social media.

The "motive" behind the murder: Moise was allegedly assaulted after demanding payment for two days of overdue wages.

Born on April 4, 1997, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Moise Mugenyi Kabagambe, Known as Soldado (Soldier), he left his homeland for Brazil in 2011, fleeing war and famine with his family. He grew up in a loving home, as recounted by the Congolese Community of Rio de Janeiro on a Facebook profile.

Moise is described as someone who was "fun and always solicitous and helpful to people."
