"Supporting someone who has racist, sexist, and homophobic discourse is not being a social democrat," says Gabriel Chalita about Garcia.
The former Secretary of Education of São Paulo criticized the governor of São Paulo for declaring his support for Jair Bolsonaro.
247 - Former São Paulo Secretary of Education Gabriel Chalita criticized the governor. Rodrigo Garcia (PSDB) for having declared unconditional support for the reelection of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and to the election of candidate Tarcisio Freitas (Rep) to the government of São Paulo.
"Rodrigo Garcia disrespects the history of the PSDB by supporting someone who has no commitment to democracy or basic human rights. Supporting someone with racist, sexist, homophobic, and other such discourses is not being a social democrat," Chalita wrote on Twitter.
"Sad are those who have no commitment to history, who pretend not to see, who, out of hatred or 'invented truths,' embrace incorrect causes. How much we miss the democratic spirit of Franco Montoro and the unwavering consistency of Mário Covas. How much we miss the PSDB of yesterday...", added the former secretary.
