Rio 247 - The Legislative Assembly of Rio (Alerj) will vote at 15 pm this Tuesday (20) on the Annual Budget Law (LOA) project for 2017. Around 5 thousand amendments were proposed by the 70 deputies of the assembly and 90% of them were approved. The deficit forecast jumped from R$ 15 billion to R$ 19 billion. The figure changed after an update from the state government with a decrease in the Net Current Revenue (RCL) from R$ 51 billion to R$ 46,9 billion.

State Representative Zaqueu Teixeira (PDT), one of the two who voted against the report, stated that he could not vote in favor without knowing what the sources of revenue were. He called the document "completely fictitious."

According to calculations by the rapporteur, Pedro Fernandes (PMDB), the cuts will affect everyone. Judiciary (R$ 242 million), Legislative (R$ 122 million), Alerj (R$ 68 million), TCE (R$ 53 million) and MP (R$ 80 million). "There will be widespread, general and unrestricted complaining from the powers," predicts deputy Luiz Paulo (PSDB) in case of approval of the LOA project.

The Alerj will also vote on the revision of the Pluriannual Plan (PPA) for 2016-2019 this Tuesday (20). Bill 2.129/16, which is always updated when the Annual Budget Law (LOA) is sent, received 270 amendments - 103 approved, 74 rejected and 92 archived by the House Budget Committee.
