The 62,16% readjustment received 4 votes in favor and 3 against in the committee. If approved by the House, Castro will receive R$ 35.462,22 per month. The vice-governor and secretaries will receive R$ 29.873,81.
According to Representative Luiz Paulo (PSD), president of the Taxation Committee who presented a counterproposal, "the salary increase proposed by the Budget Committee and desired by the head of the Executive Branch is 3,15 times greater than the accumulated percentage for state employees, demonstrating a significant inconsistency."
