247 - Former governor and vice-presidential candidate Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) condemned the chaos and tumult caused by supporters of Jair Bolsonaro this Wednesday (12) in Aparecida do Norte (SP), during the celebrations for Our Lady of Aparecida Day.
On Twitter, Alckmin, who is Catholic like former president Lula, said that Aparecida is a place of prayer, not aggression. "As a Catholic, I am perplexed by the hostilities promoted in Aparecida on the day of our patron saint. Have more respect for Catholics. Church is not a political platform. It is a holy place, for prayer, not for aggression," he stated.

During Jair Bolsonaro's visit to the city of Aparecida do Norte (SP), Bolsonaro supporters turned a mass celebrated on the afternoon of this Wednesday (12) into a war zone.
Employees of TV Aparecida were cornered by extremists in the middle of the crowd, as shown in images captured by CNN.
