Accused of killing Marielle, Ronnie Lessa may have his house seized by the courts.

247 - Due to debts amounting to R$ 76.606,38, the Rio de Janeiro court is expected to seize a house belonging to former military police officer Ronnie Lessa, accused of killing former councilwoman Marielle Franco (PSOL) and driver Anderson Gomes in March 2018. The Condomínio Geral Portogalo, in Angra dos Reis, on the Costa Verde in Rio de Janeiro, where the PM owns the property, filed the lawsuit for unpaid condominium fees from 2019, 2020 and 2021. The case is being heard in the 1st Civil Court of Angra dos Reis. The information was published this Monday (7) by column by Ancelmo Gois.

The military officer was summoned to settle his debts and informed about the proceedings last August at the Campo Grande (MS) Federal Maximum Security Penitentiary, where he is imprisoned. Since he has not responded in the court proceedings, the Judiciary is expected to order the seizure of his house.

According to the column, the trustee, responsible for filing a lawsuit seeking reimbursement of the amounts and the seizure of the property, is former police delegate Fernando Moraes – he was arrested in December 2020 in the same operation that also arrested former Rio mayor Marcelo Crivella, accused of participating in a bribery scheme in the capital. In February 2021, Supreme Court Justice Gilmar Mendes granted freedom to the former head of the municipal executive.

In another case, which is being processed in the district of Mangaratiba, in the Active Debt Center, former PM Ronnie Lessa has accumulated property tax debts for another property totaling R$ 20.717,47.
