247 - Father Edson Adélio Tagliaferro, from the Nossa Senhora das Dores Parish Church in Artur Nogueira, in the interior of São Paulo, delivered a sermon and told the city's parishioners who voted for Jair Bolsonaro that they should go to confession.

"Do you want me to say what everyone else is saying, that they won't let him work? No! Bolsonaro is worthless. Bolsonaro is no good. And those who voted for him should confess, ask God for forgiveness for the sin they committed, because they elected a bandit as president," said the parish priest in a sermon broadcast online last Tuesday (2).

"Many people say: Father, be careful what you say in your homily because some people don't like it. Well, what should we say in our homily if not what God asks us to say? If we see that the government is no good, can't the priest say that the government is no good because the people don't want to hear it?" he questioned.
