247 - The heavy rains that have occurred in recent months in Maranhão have caused several problems and frightened residents. Buriticupu, a city 417 km from São Luís, is on high alert due to the risks caused by gullies, enormous craters that have been encroaching on part of the city for more than 30 years.
Drone footage (see below) shows that the municipality in Maranhão is at risk of disappearing due to sinkholes. According to G1, There are 26 giant sinkholes advancing towards the city and keeping residents awake at night.
