São Francisco River Diversion Project: Bolsonaro “inaugurates” Lula's project and #ThankYouLula trends on Twitter.
The São Francisco River diversion project began in 2007, during Lula's government.
Forum Magazine - President Jair Bolsonaro (No Party-RJ) went, this Friday (26), to Juazeiro do Norte (CE), where he “inaugurated” the Jati reservoir, a project that began to be executed in 2007 by former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT-SP).
Bolsonaro tried to piggyback on Lula's work, but failed. In the early afternoon, the hashtag #ObrigadoLula (Thank you Lula) reached the top trending topics on Twitter, acknowledging the former president's participation in the project.
With this action, the water that already supplies the Milagres Reservoir (the last structure in Pernambuco, in Verdejante) will pass through the Milagres Tunnel (on the border of the two states), begin to fill the Jati Reservoir (the first in Ceará territory) and continue on to Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte.
