Sarney lobbied for a new director of the Federal Police in a meeting with Temer.

Maranhão 247 - Former President José Sarney lobbied Michel Temer for the appointment of Fernando Segóvia as director-general of the Federal Police. Sarney, one of Temer's main allies, met with him last weekend.

But since September, the former president has been complaining to Temer about Leandro Daiello, who will be replaced by Segóvia, according to journalist Andreia Sadi of G1. Sarney's lobbying with Temer for the change at the Federal Police intensified over the weekend of September 17th.

Segóvia was the superintendent of the Federal Police in Maranhão, Sarney's political base. Last Saturday (4), when Sarney went to Jaburu, Temer also called Romero Jucá (PMDB-RR). The government leader in the Senate was one of the main enthusiasts of the change in command of the Federal Police.
