Mayor announces candidates for state and federal representative.
Looking ahead to 2018, the mayor of Caxias, Fábio Gentil (PRB), announced his candidates for state and federal deputy in 2018; for the Legislative Assembly he will support Catulé Júnior (PMN), currently the Secretary of Government of Caxias, and for the Federal Chamber, the vice-mayor, Paulo Marinho Júnior (PMDB); both candidates are members of traditional political families in the municipality.
By Leandro Miranda/marrapa.com - During a get-together event in Caxias, last night (29), Mayor Fábio Gentil (PRB) announced his candidates for state and federal deputy in 2018. For the Assembly, the “long-haired” will bet on Catulé Júnior (PMN), currently Secretary of Government of Caxias and for the Federal Chamber, the vice-mayor, Paulo Marinho Júnior (PMDB).
“Outside of Caxias, I need a representative. We had a commitment. I learned to keep my word and honor it. I had a commitment that I would fight for in every way possible, unless he didn't want to, to work for Catulé Júnior so that I could work in Caxias and have a state representative in the capital,” declared the mayor, before speaking about his support for his vice-mayor, Paulinho. “I have a vice-mayor who helped me a lot in the campaign, and he is my candidate for federal representative,” said Fábio. “It's too early to say, but I have nothing to hide.”
Catulé Júnior is the son of the president of the City Council, Catulé, and Marinho Júnior is the son of former mayor Paulo Marinho.
After being elected mayor in 2016 with a discourse of change and ending the privileges of traditional families in Caxias, Fábio Gentil throws his promises in the trash and joins forces with old oligarchies.
