Police arrest 546 people during operation in Bahia.

Agents seized 98 firearms and 57 vehicles.

247 - The Civil Police of Bahia arrested 546 people between Monday (24) and the early afternoon of this Thursday (27), in Salvador, in the metropolitan region and in the interior of the state. The corporation began the 15th phase of Operation Unum Corpus, against crime. 

The operation seized 98 firearms, 57 vehicles, and over R$126. Investigators also seized slot machines and narcotics. The Department of Interior Police (Depin) and the Metropolitan Police Department (Depom) are also supporting the investigations. 

In Eunápolis, three suspects were arrested for the murder of ride-share driver Athus Alves Bernardo, who had been missing since February 23. They will also face charges of illegal possession of a firearm and drug trafficking.

In the same city, a woman was arrested for kidnapping, concealing a corpse, and murdering Douglas Souza dos Santos. The suspect is the sister of the teenager who was allegedly a victim of abuse committed by Douglas. In Araci, a man was arrested for rape, kidnapping, and false imprisonment against three women.

In São Félix do Coribe, an arrest was made for the murder of 16-year-old Felipe Gonçalves. In the municipality of Nova Viçosa, a woman was captured for drug trafficking, association with drug trafficking, and homicide. In Afrânio, a fugitive from Pernambuco accused of homicide was located and arrested.

The Civil Police also carried out the extension of the temporary arrest of the military police officer investigated for the homicide of a lawyer in Conceição do Coité. He remains in custody at the Shock Battalion in Lauro de Freitas. With teams still mobilized, Operation Unum Corpus continues, with new arrests and seizures expected in the coming hours, reinforcing the Civil Police's commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety.
