New research shows a tight race in the São Luís mayoral election.
In the voting intention poll released today, Mayor Edivaldo Holanda Júnior (PDT) leads in the first round with 23,7% of voting intentions, followed by Eliziane Gama (PPS) with 20% and Wellington do Curso (PP) with 18,1%, in the prompted question. In the spontaneous question, the mayor also appears in first place, with 18,1%, followed by Eliziane with 10,1% and Wellington with 9,1%. In a second round, the mayor would be defeated by both Eliziane and Wellington.
