247 - An episode of sexual harassment was recorded on video this Sunday (14) on Boa Viagem Beach, South Zone of Recife. The victim is model Meyllin Oliveira, 20 years old, a candidate for the title of Miss Recife 2025, who reported the case to the Women's Police Station. The images, recorded by a colleague, show the moment when Meyllin was preparing to record content for her social networks, when a cyclist passed behind her and touched her without consent. The case was registered by the Civil Police as sexual harassment. The information is from g1.

The incident occurred during a recording for social media.

The young woman had just finished the official photoshoot for the pageant and was recording personal videos when two men rode by on bicycles. While the first man continued on his way normally, the second approached and touched the model before continuing on his way.

Model speaks out on social media after assault.

Meyllin herself shared the video on her Instagram account, recounting her shock at the situation. "I feel dirty, violated, quite sad and embarrassed by this situation. [...] At the time, you're completely speechless, and I didn't want to believe for a second that all this was happening, because our thought is always: this won't happen to me, I'll react! But when it happens, we feel small, without support and unprotected." The reaction was immediate, with a large mobilization on social media.

Civil Police are investigating the suspect.

According to the model, internet users provided information about the man, supposedly a resident of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in Greater Recife. At the police station, according to the report, the data and information provided helped identify the suspect's family members. His name, however, was not officially released.

In a statement, the Civil Police of Pernambuco informed that the case is under investigation and that inquiries will continue until the matter is clarified.

The repercussions are worrying the model at Miss Recife 2025.

With the competition scheduled for September 21st, Meyllin stated she was concerned about the comments that arose after the complaint. "There are already many comments saying that I'm taking advantage of the situation to gain recognition. Not from the other contestants, but from other people. What happened to me should alert others, but I don't want to be known for this incident," she said.

The young woman will return to the Women's Police Station this Monday (15) for further talks with the delegate. Witness statements have been scheduled for October 29.
