247 - The Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, is in Bahia this Saturday (14) to inspect works on properties of the 'Minha Casa Minha Vida' program. Accompanied by the state governor, Jerônimo Rodrigues, the minister flew over the construction of a housing complex in the city of Santa Amaro, in the Recôncavo Baiano. Afterwards, Rui Costa was in the city of Feira de Santana to assess the conditions of the Campo Belo Residential Complex - Habitar do Sertão.

Despite having over 240 completed housing units and having been contracted during the administration of former President Dilma Rousseff, the complex has not yet been delivered to the population. The period it remained closed and without maintenance caused damage to the homes. Now, some renovations will be necessary, which should take more than 30 days.

>>> Lula will relaunch the "Minha Casa, Minha Vida" program next week during a trip to Bahia.

“We have projects that are ready to be delivered, and others, like the one in Santo Amaro, where the buildings are ready, but access is lacking. I came to see the facilities firsthand, and this complex here in Feira de Santana cannot be delivered in a week, which was our expectation. It will be necessary to replace the stolen equipment, since the security has been removed. I will coordinate with Caixa Econômica and Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues so that we can deliver these homes as soon as possible,” explained the minister.

The new launch of the Minha Casa Minha Vida program should be carried out soon by President Lula (PT). According to Minister Rui Costa, more than 4 projects under the program are completed but have not yet been delivered. Of this total, more than 1.400 are ready for delivery.
