247 - The husband of Pernambuco gubernatorial candidate Raquel Lyra (PSDB), Fernando Lucena, died this Sunday morning (2) after suffering a heart attack. He felt unwell at the couple's residence in Caruaru, in the Agreste region of the state. The information was confirmed by Raquel's father and Fernando's father-in-law, former governor João Lyra Neto. 

"Raquel Lyra's family informs, with deep sorrow, that this Sunday morning, the 02nd, businessman Fernando Lucena, Raquel's husband and father of João and Fernando, passed away, a victim of a sudden illness. Raquel Lyra and her family thank everyone for the expressions of solidarity they have been receiving and count on everyone's understanding during this very difficult time," said Lyra Neto.

There is no set date for the candidate's schedule this Sunday, which is the day of the campaign's voting.

Lucena leaves behind Raquel and two children from his marriage to the politician, João and Fernando.
