247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), and the Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, will visit the city of Patos, located 306 km from João Pessoa, next Friday (26), to participate in the ceremony for the delivery of 856 houses from the Minha Casa, Minha Vida housing program.

According to the column DashboardAccording to Folha de S. Paulo, "the city is a political stronghold of federal deputy Hugo Motta, leader of the Republicans in the Chamber of Deputies. His father, Nabor Wanderley Filho (Republicans), is the current mayor of Patos and is in his third term. Hugo's grandfather, Nabor Wanderley, and grandmother, Francisca Motta, were also mayors of Patos."

Last year, Lula da Silva made adjustments to his ministerial team, aiming to accommodate centrist parties and consolidate support in Congress. Among the changes, Silvio Costa Filho, from the Republicanos party, took over the Ministry of Ports and Airports in September. Despite this, the party leadership says it acts independently and is not part of the government's base in the National Congress.

This will be Lula's second trip to the Northeast this year. Last week, he participated in events in Bahia, Pernambuco, and Ceará.
