Maranhao 247 - Journalist and writer Palmério Dória, "Honorable Bandits," expressed his support for candidate Flávio Dino, from the "All for Maranhão" coalition. "Flávio Dino is not just the candidate of the people of Maranhão. Flávio Dino is the candidate of all of Brazil," he said.

In a video, Palmério stated that he has already made his contribution to the campaign "Help Maranhão defeat Sarney", launched last Wednesday (July 30th) during the event "Pact for a fair HDI", launched by Flávio Dino, with the presence of several members of social movements.

"Honorable Bandits" is an account of the birth and rise of the Sarney family, which has dominated the Maranhão police for almost 50 years. The book remained on Veja magazine's bestseller list for 19 weeks.

During the book launch in São Luís, activists stormed the venue and attempted to disrupt the ceremony, which also took place in the city of Imperatriz, in southwestern Maranhão. The troublemakers shouted "Sarney, warrior of the Brazilian people."
