Forum Magazine - The first lady of Tamandaré (PE), Sarí Mariana Gaspar Hacker Corte Real, accused of the death of five-year-old Miguel Otávio Santana da Silva, broke her silence and asked for forgiveness from her former employee, Mirtes Renata Santana de Souza, for the death of her son, in a text released on Friday night (5), entitled “letter to Mirtes”.

The letter was sent to UOL by the press office of the mayor of Tamandaré, Sérgio Hacker (PSB), Sarí's husband. In the text, she apologizes to Mirtes and says she sympathizes with the suffering of the former employee (read in full below).

“There are no words to describe the suffering of this irreparable loss. Never, but never, could I have imagined that any harm could befall Miguel, much less the tragedy that occurred. I ask for your forgiveness,” wrote Sari, who signs the text only with the surname “Gaspar,” without using her husband's surname.

“I have no right to speak of pain, but this sorrow, even if incomparably, will also accompany me for the rest of my life. I am being condemned by public opinion as others have been historically. Social media amplifies people's hatred,” says Sari Corte Real.

She also says that "Justice will clarify the truth," because, according to Mirtes, in an interview with UOL, Sarí denied pressing the button for the building's penthouse. Images show that she pressed the button and even left the boy alone inside the elevator.
