Edison Lobão secures Dilma's support.
Amid speculation that, despite the PT being allied with the PMDB in Maranhão, President Dilma Rousseff prefers the state's gubernatorial candidate Flávio Dino (PCdoB), PMDB member Edison Lobão Filho, a candidate for the Maranhão state government, insinuated that the PT candidate had already recorded a message of support for his candidacy; "Didn't they [opponents] say they had the support of Dilma and Lula? The lies they tell are coming to light," Lobão declared.
Gilberto Léda's Blog - Senator Edison Lobão Filho (PMDB), candidate for governor for the "Pra Frente, Maranhão" coalition, hinted yesterday (26), in an interview with the blog, that President Dilma Rousseff (PT) has already recorded a message of support for his candidacy.
The speech by the Workers' Party member is eagerly awaited by the PMDB candidate's allies, following the confirmation of support from former president Lula.
According to Lobão Filho, a statement from the president should put an end to what he considered "lies" from her opponents about the alleged support of the PT and the party's top leaders for Flávio Dino's candidacy.
"Didn't they [opponents] say they had the support of Dilma and Lula? The lies they tell are starting to come to light. They said they had the support of Lula and Dilma. With Lula's clear statement on television saying who his candidate is, and with Dilma's statement saying who her candidate is, I think the truth is starting to emerge for our people," he said, commenting on Lula's support for his project.
